Karen has worked as a full time real estate professional since 1999, has owned 4 real estate brokerages in the Lake Tahoe area, is a certified Previews Luxury Agent and holds a Brokers license in both Nevada and California.

Her extensive background in property management provides crucial knowledge and expertise while working with investors. She currently holds designations in Property Management, (SFR) Short Sales and Foreclosure Resources, Relocation, (CDPE) Certified Distressed Property Expert and is a (CNE) Certified Negotiation Expert.
The designation of Certified Negotiation Expert is held by only 1% of all Realtors and is important to you because I have knowledge of how to obtain a higher sales price and better terms for you as a Seller, and as a Buyer, I have the skills to negotiate for the best price and terms on your purchase.
Having been exposed to and working within the real estate industry from a young age, Nicole uses a well-honed blend of analysis and intuition to best position her clients for success.
Nicole oversees the daily operations of the brokerage as well as managing the transactions through the firm. She is the liaison between agents, clients, escrow companies and mortgage brokers during the transaction. Over 400+ transactions have come to fruition with Nicole’s oversight.
Nicole is also an agent in her own right, becoming licensed in 2013. Nicole quickly became a top producer in North East Nevada before relocating to Reno.
Dennis Stafford has lived in northern Nevada since 1994 and became a full-time Nevada Realtor in 2006. Prior to that, his career included founding and co-owning a successful company for over 25 years and leading the launch of the largest hospital group purchasing program in the U.S. As the executive director for the for-profit subsidiary of a large hospital trade association, he was responsible for negotiating multimillion dollar medical supply and equipment contracts covering nearly 1,000 hospitals nationwide, including many of the largest university-affiliated hospitals in the country.
Dennis has always had his “toe in the water” of real estate industry as an investor and home owner for over 30 years. He has owned various investment properties in California, Nevada and Hawaii and is very familiar with the 1031 exchange process because of those experiences.
Dennis has helped countless buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals over the past decade and looks forward to continuing to assist buyers and sellers, from a homeowner or investor standpoint, maximize their return on investment in the residential real estate market.
Mark graduated from New Mexico Military Institute in 1968. Following service to our country in the Marine Corps, he fell in love with Northern Nevada in 1972 as a traveling entertainer and made his home in Washoe Valley.
Mark received his real estate license in 1984 specializing in the residential market. Hired as Executive Officer in 1995 for Realty 500, a Nevada based real estate franchise system, he oversaw the growth of the company from 7 to 11 franchises with 15 offices in two states in the five-year period to 2000.
Aside from real estate sales, Mark learned the title insurance business as an Account Representative for Founders Title Co in Reno from 1990 to 1995. Mark was the Manager of a large insurance firm in Reno, managing its growth from 5 employees to 32 in a five-year span. It was during this period that he obtained his insurance licenses in Property & Casualty, Life and Health and Bonding.
Having become a Broker/Salesperson with his years of education, he returned to his Real Estate practice in 2008 and embarked on giving back to the industry he so loved. He has served as chair of many local and state REALTOR® association committees, culminating his term in 2014 as President of the Reno Sparks Association of REALTORS® and Vice-President of the Nevada Association of REALTORS® in 2016. He continues to serve RSAR as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, 2017-2018, and is a member of VAREP. “Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals”.
Mark serves our community as President of the Board of the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts and as an Elder and Worship Music Pastor of Washoe Valley Christian Church.
On a lighter note, Mark continues to entertain with his quartet Deep Groove, at the Red Dog Saloon in Virginia City in the summer season and has held the position of “Helmsman” for the past 8 years for Controlled Burn, a fire art performance troupe participating in the annual Burning Man event held in the Black Rock desert.
He resides in Washoe Valley with his wife of 38 years, Brenda and is the proud father of USMC Major Hamilton Ashworth and daughter Sage, a manager at the local Mt. Rose Ski Resort. He is affectionately known as “Pops” to his grandson Kaden.
Adept in all phases of the Real Estate market, Mark particularly enjoys working with first time buyers to help them to achieve the American dream of homeownership.
Janiece Waters has been a REALTOR® in the Real Estate Industry for 10 years and is grateful to be a team member of L. Lance Gilman Real Estate. Janiece specializes in “YOU”, her client. She has represented clients’ in the purchase and sale of single-family residents, commercial and income properties in Stanislaus County, CA., Monterey County, CA. and Santa Clara County, CA. She has been a member of the California Bureau of Real Estate since 2007 and was highly active in her community assisting with fundraisers, charities and representing the Central Valley Board of Realtors. There is no task too big or small, she’ll take it all! 99% of Janiece’s clientele is referral based. She believes in representing her clients and her company with the highest degree of respect, knowledge, experience and professionalism! Highly motivated to help you achieve your real estate goals, she will go above and beyond to assist you in accomplishing your real estate dreams.
Janiece and her family relocated to Nevada, love the high desert, fresh air and balance between country and city life that Nevada provides. Janiece is a dedicated family woman first. She’s a proud mom of three beautiful children, a beloved grandma of two, a trusted friend you can always count on, one who goes the extra mile for those in need. She’ll be the first to jump in to lend a helping hand. Janiece believes in the positive nature and attitude of life. She’s fearless and up for any challenge set before her.
Prior to working in the Gilman real estate business, Donny’s work ethic was cut by working at a feed store bucking hay. Immediately after graduating from high school, he went to work traveling throughout the United States and Canada selling the vision for the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRI). He worked alongside his dad promoting what is today the world’s largest industrial center located in Storey County, Nevada and just 25 minutes from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
Not one to let grass grow under his feet, Donny simultaneously served as General Manager of the Gilman-owned Harley Davidson Carson City and remained in that position until it was sold in 2003.
Today, he continues to have a hand in TRI, turning his focus to the company’s commercial and new residential real estate office. Overseeing an office of eight team members, Donny leads the efforts to provide exceptional service with a team of community involved agents dedicated to ensuring the northern Nevada region.
Donny works alongside his wife, Megan. When not working, they spend time with their three kids enjoying the outdoors fishing, camping, house boating, riding horses, dirt bikes and utv’s.
Donny’s focus is on business operations, business development and financial management with the goal to grow the company into a premier real estate agency.
